Our shop sits in Milford, PA, right where Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey meet. That puts most of northeastern Pennsylvania, the lower Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey inside our normal working range, and we install and service across all three states.
What an EG4 system is
EG4 makes hybrid inverters and batteries. A hybrid inverter handles both the solar panels and the batteries in one unit, so you do not need a separate piece of equipment when you add batteries.
The EG4 systems we install run grid-tied with net metering. Your panels power the house first, and production you do not use flows to the grid under your utility's net metering rules.
If you are not ready for batteries, we set the system up battery-ready. You start with panels only and add storage later without replacing the inverter. When the batteries go in, we configure which circuits stay powered during an outage.
EG4 hybrid inverters also take a generator input. We wire and configure it so a generator can back up the house and keep the system running through a longer outage.
We handle the whole job: panel layout, inverter placement, battery sizing if you want storage now, permitting, and the settings that make all of the above actually work together.
What Tigo optimizers do
We install Tigo optimizers, small units mounted behind each solar panel. When part of the roof is shaded, an optimizer keeps that panel from dragging down the output of the others. Each panel also reports its production separately, so if one has a problem we can see which one from the monitoring instead of guessing from the ground. The optimizers handle rapid shutdown as well, the code-required way to de-energize the array for firefighters and service work.
We service EG4 equipment too
We repair and maintain EG4 systems as well as install them, including systems another company put in. We are authorized for warranty work on EG4 equipment, so if an inverter or battery fails under warranty, the claim and the repair can both go through us.
